Barb Steinhauser, Director of Luxury

Barb is currently the Director of Luxury at Busby Group Luxury Advisors and concentrates on clients with interest in unique and high-end properties. Barb’s career in luxury sales and client service provides her with the networks and tools to excel as a top real estate agent in Chicago. Prior to real estate, Barb worked in financial sales and services, as an Account Exec at Merrill Lynch, and as a Corporate FX trader at Citicorp International. She finds that the debt, equity and FX markets are close indicators of real estate markets and trends.

Barb also served as the VP of Networking at a global real estate development company.As a seasoned connector, Barb has completed many private and off-market transactions for her clients. She has a strong fabric of personal relationships, relationships within the Chicago real estate community, and with top brokers across the country through our alliances, such as REALM and Top Agent Network.

Barb cultivates a deep understanding of her clients’ lifestyle and how it relates to their needs and home choices (such as those whose Chicago home is only part-time). Having lived in Chicago for some time, Barb is intimately familiar with condos, co-ops, single family homes, town houses and row homes. Her business is built on a foundation of experience, discretion, integrity and civility. She gets high marks from her clients, other brokers and professionals she deals with every day.

Barb is the active mother of two adult daughters and four young grandchildren, all of whom live in downtown Chicago. That keeps her in the loop on neighborhoods, schools, clubs, and news that make successfully choosing the appropriate home a better experience all around. Barb plays golf and racquet sports when not servicing her clients. She is a member of the Saddle & Cycle Club and also serves on the Woman's Board of Rush Medical Center.
